Unable to Start Dayz.

Whenever I try and launch DayZ, be it with DayZ Commander or Six Launcher, I see those boxes with the checks pop up, and after those are finished loading I get a black screen. This occured after I played around with my config files trying to get a higher FPS, which i dont really need, but I fixed that problem already. So I get a black screen and I try and alt+tab out, and it doesnt work. Still a black screen. Try and ctrl+alt+del out. Nope, doesnt work either. I end up having to put my computer into sleep mode to fix this and get out of the black screen. Please help me I'm thinking about re-installing Arma 2 and Arma 2: OA if I have to so I can fix this problem. Thanks.

You have a powerful computer? (at 'least' a dual-core, more than 4GB of Ram. At least a sata 2 (sats 3 ssd is ace!) hard drive? What video card you runnin'?

Yes, its a quad core intel i7 processor with 6 GB of RAM... My video card is Nvidia GeForce GT 540M.

GT 540M being mobile gpu isnt the powerhouse the model "number" may suggest. It's more than less, a GT 220 but I forgot to ask if you're using a Steam version :blush: Non-Steam and Steam installs.

I see you've been a member for a couple of months. Has the game worked ever (DayZ mod)?

Yes, it is the mobile gpu because I am playing on a laptop. The game has worked very well previously and up until now it ran smoothly with no hitches like this. Also, I am using a steam version of ARMA 2 and ARMA 2: OA. But I downloaded DayZ using DayZ Commander.
