Someone sent me a direct message in dayz and I have never seen such a message before. The message was displayed in a thin gray bar, dark, with rounded edges.

I can't help but wonder what this is.

The message was simply "hello".

o.o interesting. . . possibly the work of the infamous black widow or just a hacker trying to scare a bambi?

I'm pretty sure it's a hack. Not 100% though. I was at my outpost (FAR North) and it appeared on mine as well. I searched the area but didn't find anyone. I believe they're just trying to frighten newer players.
