Am i allowed to enable Side Channel?

It's possible, but you have to locate some files to do it.

Use a PBO editior and edit your mission file located in /MPMissions in your OA/Server destination folder.

Look for this line:

disableChannels[]={0,1,2,6};

The '1' = Side channel

So basically change it to look like this:

disableChannels[]={0,2,6};

Ensure that you use a PBO editor or you will corrupt your mission file, and also be sure to back it up before you edit it just in case anything goes wrong ;)

Don't use it on Official Hives. It's stupid and can get your server removed from the Hive (see Server Rules). Not to mention how it ruines the whole DayZ feeling.

So yeah, unless you run a Private Hive or some other dayz map, don't enable it

I own a private hive so it doesn't matter ^-^
