Think my CD Key was Stolen

Recommended Posts

So I downloaded something that was suppose to increase your FPS but I think all it did was steal my CD Key. Is there anything I can do?

I would submit your "increase fps" tool to BattlEye. That's a new one for me.

You would think that this was a given. Sigh.

I generally don't download stuff I don't know about but I didn't think this one through.

Everyone makes mistakes :P That is why I always have anti-virus on. I guess you should just go to Battleye support and tell them about it.

They won't do anything for him. They have specifically said if your CD key was stolen it was your own fault for giving it away, intentionally or unintentionally.

Honestly, I don't think BattlEye will reverse the ban.

From The BattlEye website:

"In short, heed the following: DO NOT EVER RUN ANY HACKS OR OTHER SUSPICIOUS SOFTWARE! If you end up being banned due to your cd-key being stolen there is nothing we can do for you. "

Sorry for being a dick. Pretty tired here, lol.

Anyways, have you tried contacting BattlEye support, like everyone else is saying? Also, be sure to run an anti-virus, such as AVG, if you need to get rid of it.

It's not Bohemia or Battleye's fault if the customer doesn't research third party apps before installing them.
