tbh I don't think there is anywhere on the map that I haven't been killed at some stage. Last night I was way up North reconnoitering a few clicks west of that huge big Dam, way out in the wilderness. Next thing I hear the report of a shot, and I instinctly drop and roll under a conifer, mind racing i'm fully expecting to be nailed thinking that someone had teleported to my position, but I rationalise it out thinking: a - the shot is infront of me (in my experience they always teleport in behind you) and, b - I didn't hear any subsonic crack of the bullet.

So i'm lying there, heart racing and another couple of shots are fired. Definately not in my direction. Now here's the kicker there is only me and this other guy on the server - lets call him "Elmer". Things go quiet for a while and I slowly start to move in the direction of the gun fire. Suddenly a few more shots ring out, really close to me & I locate him, banging away happy as larry with an M24 shooting at either bore / rabbit. I call out in game "Hey! Elmer Fud keep it down pal * & shoot him in the head. There is a moral to that story in there somewhere, oh yeah.. you are safe no where in Chernarus..

One place is safe in chernarus.... FOB HAXXOR xD I make one on like every map wy? cuz hacker mates do randoms for me

I always thought NW was, but Stary is littered with Snipers I once when onto a server and there was about 3-4 snipers that weren't working together, because some were firing off at each other, whilst others were picking off those i saw in the town.

I don't even think about going near Stary no more, the NW AF is safer imo, i don't understand how Stary can be so dangerous too, it's not even that great.

NEAF. I'm not in danger there, I AM the danger.

1.) Place some sort of bait like a car or a heli on the airstrip.

2.) Wait for people to run to it, thinking that there's nobody around, (I don't know why they do that. Free heli on an airstrip? Seems legit.), then shoot them in the face with your .50 cal.

3.) ???

4.) PROFIT! (Got an AS50, L85 and some rangefinders yesterday.)

I've rarely made it through Stary Sobor without catching a bullet with my face.

I literally don't bother with Stary anymore.

I chose other. Because when you're at an airfield, or any of the other spots, you usually expect some action. I find the wilderness is much more dangerous, because typically people let their guard down when they aren't near civilization (or where civilization used to be).

NWAF is of course dangerous because of the good loot spots and the big open fields, also many zombies, but you can see snipers easily before they see you, and the only three good sniping spots i know of have zombie indicators

There's 3 great spots I can think of that can cover the whole airfield that don't spawn zombies. The NWAF isn't really that dangerous these days because of helicopter crashes, they've completely ruined the game.
