Major Dayz suggestions

Recommended Posts

Hello These Are Just Some Ideas That I Have For Dayz

(I have more but they I have all ready read them so they are not included)

1. Vehicles:

•To make it more realistic, make cars spawn in some garages

•The ability to drag people into cars and hide dead bodys it the boot

•Have a key for the car for quicker starts (you can also hot wire the cars but it takes longer)

•The ability to shoot out of a window and duck under the door so you don't get shot

•The ability to open windows (you'll see why later on)

•Have commercial Helicopters like new choppers and police choppers

•Have trains that can be fixed so that you can go somewhere faster

2.Map:

•Make the map bigger and include more environments for example the hills can be cold and hard to move in while the outer edge of the map can be hotter and harder to see in

Weather:

•Make heat and cold factors of survival for example If you are cold you start to freeze and sneeze a lot and when you are hot it makes you more tired more easily. Include bigger storms which affects your bullet and your walking

Include clothes: like big jumpers for keeping yourself warm in the cold and singlets for the heat

•Camo, make it so that the clothes effect your camo for example you start off with a florescent yellow shirt and you go off looking for camo clothes or just darker clothes.

Weapons:

Make the locations more realistic (because a hunter wouldn't keep his rifle on the floor in his living room and a FBI agent wouldn't keep his pistol on the table) like on weapon racks or in the jeep or something

Add more weapons. I know every one wants this but I mean like suppressed Glocks and snipers with laser pointing aid,

The ability to climb:

like jump on top of a roof or shimmy across a pipe over hundreds of zombies just waiting for you to slip.

Cinematic kills:

You know on most games were if you hit some one enough then you do a cool finisher, yea like that

Claiming towns:

The ability for you and a few friends to save a town and then build up and make a safe town (until the zombies attack)

Electricity:

Add power to your town by connecting a power line some how to your towns generator.

Electricity may be used for things like:

•Charging a satellite phone (Phones can be used to call people on the other side of the map)

•Making electric fences

•Charging radios

•Charging electric cars

•Making a way to get water into your town

More animation moves:

Like waving or clicking or whistling

Notes:

With a pen and paper (or a pen and anything) make it possible to leave notes on doors or cars or even body's

All buildings enter able

Tame wild animals like dogs to be pets

ADD HORSES FOR TRANSPORT Instead of driving and running out of fuel take a horse (but it has to eat and drink to)

ADD THE ABILITY TO DISARM PEOPLE in close range or shoot their gun out of their hand

IF YOU HAVE ANY MORE SUGGESTIONS LEAVE THEM IN THE COMMENT SECTION BELOW AND IM SORRY IF I HAVE STOLEN ANY ONES IDEAS IT JUST MEANS NOW THERE IS DOUBLE THE CHANCE THAT IT WILL BE IN THE STANDALONE

THANK YOU

Temperature already affects you. o.o

Cinematic kills - no.

There's a good chance you'll see some of the others later in the standalone.

•The ability to shoot out of a window and duck under the door so you don't get shot

A car door does not provide any protection to rifle bullets unless it's armored.

Some nice ideas there, a few of which I expect to see in the standalone in one form or another. Some of your suggestions are a bit of a stretch though.

Claiming towns, while it sounds like a good plan, would probably be more trouble than it's worth (making a target of yourself for other players) and holding the fort would soon get boring.

I like the car key / hotwire idea, but after a car ignition has been rigged once, you wouldn't need a key. And trains, if repaired, would be extremely vulnerable to ambush.

I don't think extremes of temperature, or drastically different biomes will be introduced at all, maybe a high altitude area with snow-capped peaks, but the map is WAY too small to have varying climates.

Climbing, on the other hand, would be a great addition in certain situations. I'm not talking Assassins Creed or anything, but climbing up head high walls and on top of cargo containers would be cool, especially when Zeds start swarming all around! Rock climbing would also be nice to see, but there aren't any cliffs on the map.

It would probably mean a big change in gameplay mechanics, but that's what alpha is for. Certainly plausible with a new engine free from the restrictions of ArmA 2.

These;

+1 for these.

I'd expand on that town claiming a little though, for example. When you've claimed a town the "increased activity" in the town means that zombies from surrounding areas are attracted to the town. This "migration" could be useful for some players, like bandits as they'd follow the zombies to somewhere where there will be a high chance of players with good gear. But it'd be a nightmare for the players that claimed the town since they'd have to fend off possibly over 200 zombies, which could be rather challenging.
