ZomboWTF 527 Posted October 4, 2012 So, i start a session on a public server, completely without gear, i run up cherno, gear up a bit, having all essentials to survive and an AKM, i leave to the north and find a camp inside a barn, the camp was full of STANAG and AK-74 mags and food/winchesters all just low value stuff but A LOT OF IT, take some stuff and head south west to the border of chernoI meet two guys there, a guy with ghillie and M4a1 and a guy with almost no gearBoth of them shouting out "friendly friendly" etc.Since i am normally playing KoS wen having ANY gear worth keeping, i choose to try the friendly routelong story short, i get shot in the back by them at balota a few minutes after, them being really bad shots, i can still land two shots in the chest on one guy, knocking him out, but not kiling himi spawn at cherno, run towards where my body is and loot everything left, my AKM and tools are gone though, my alice pack is still on my bodyI decide to head to the camp in the barn again, finding my AKM in it...So, since obviously this camp is theirs, i block up the entrance with two tents, and start emptying every single tent and making a nice big loot pile, sure to despawn at server restartEvery tent being empty, saving them, i pack a tent at the entrance, leave, and place the tent again, effectively blocking the way to there for everyone but me unless they have a grenade or vehicleTwo minutes later, i kill a sniper at the rooftop west of cherno with my newly atttained AK74 (the little facility) while his buddy ALT+F4s, and i end up having DMR, cojote, all tools, Range finder, NVG and a MK48 MOD0 in the backpack (hell yeah)What did i learn?1)Playing friendly on public servers sucks balls2)Having a camp near cherno is fucking stupid3)Playing Bandit is funTHE END. 2 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Shallowmist 0 Posted October 4, 2012 Yeah i have had my fair share of dissapointments on random servers whilst trying to be friendly. For instance just yesterday i was scourging near Stary when i found a survivor looking in a tent next to me so i sneak up behind him and wait for him to turn around. Upon turning around i just tell him i am friendly etc and he can take whatever he wants. So short while after a second guy arrives and hits me from the back lost all my gear. Including my L85A2 AWS even though they could not have known i have the weapon since i walk around with a kobra out. So since i am a hero character i generally prefer to tell people to stay away and if they get close fire warning shots. But the ones that fall out friendly, talk you into trusting them against your better judgement, then pop you in the head when you have your back turned really drive me nuts.
