Disturbances

Recommended Posts

It is hard to tell if a player has been an area recently. I propose to have disturbances as a game mechanic. How this would work would be in such a way that if a player aggroes any nearby zombies, zombies within the area become more alert. This could in the form of subtle sounds such as grunts. As a result if more zombies are engaged in this disturbed state their awareness increases greatly. If the player manages to escape the area but creating a greatly disturbed state, certain zombies in the area persist and tend to follow the player if not dealt with. If dealt with, the next player to visit the area can gather evidence in the form of zombie alertness as the alertness decreases over time.

Thoughts?

zombies spawn if theres someone near a building, your idea actually would overload the server, maintaining zombies all the time is not the way to go. Also this is not a good idea because if a player go thorugh a city and lose them, how much time will be needed for the zombies to really forget that they saw a player, and in the end all zombies will act "disturbed" because in your idea theres no zombie fresh spawns
