NoobMin needs help

I have just setup a new server and when I join I get a loading screen where my name is flashing at the top right corner of the screen like the attached picture, am I doing something wrong/missing something?

It could be any number of things, first things to check are firewall and if you have you mission file set correctly in your config.

It is from a provider not some server I have set up myself so these should not be an issue

I thought maybe someone on here would have an idea why it was happening so at least then I can tell the GSP that when I contact them, Thanks for the reply but I'm looking for answer that aren't so obvious

You need to tell them exactly what you told us. I assume that you updated all your game files on the server...

No use contacting the GSP on a Sunday night so thats out of the window, I thought MAYBE someone could help me and might have an idea why I'm seeing that screen.

Also the server shows in PlaywithSix as "waiting" so is this a problem with Instance ID or similiar??

I'm sorry that I couldn't be more help. I have three servers and have never seen that.

But, when you do find out what is causing the problem, it would probably help the community if you posted back exactly what was wrong.

Oh dont worry if I do find out why this is happening I will share it with the community, any help is appreciated and I have to say if people feel I have been a bit abrupt then I apologize, this happening has been just another sh1tty thing I have to deal with today when I don't want to on a Sunday and believe me I had some shiz to deal with today.

What I said could still be an issue with the GSP not setting it up properly, i.e. firewall or misconfiguration with the mission file.

If you have FTP access first check your mission file is in the MPMissions directory, then check your server.cfg and look for

template = dayz_INSTANCE_ID.Chernarus;

^^ make sure INSTANCE_ID is the same number as your mission file.

@Omaran (or anyone who can help) so if I see this in cfg "template = dayz_NUMBER.Chernarus" and NUMBER doesn't match the #ID I can see when selecting my server in cpanel thats why my server will not start?? because it is currently different and I need to get my server up asap

Sorted now thanks to the advice from Omaran, the server.cfg has a typo in the instance id which once changed allowed me to start the server properly.
