fujin31@yahoo.com 5 Posted June 14, 2012 I've heard several rumors of servers with zero to very few zombies being referred to as "Transport servers", obviously due to no zombies. The condition of the servers are known by the server administration or so I'm told and it is intentional. Do server admins even have the power to do this or are they sitting on glitched servers refusing to restart due to easy mode travel? Anyone heard anything about this? drayson 158 Posted June 14, 2012 Traveling isn't really dangerous anyway, stick to tree line and just sprint through open fields as fast as possible if you have to go through one. I've never run into trouble while traveling, always while scavenging.
ZedsDeadBaby 2287 Posted June 14, 2012 Server administrators have no control over any kind of spawn.Of course they do. If their server bugs out and zombies stop spawning (as often happens) they can simply not restart the server to rectify the situation, hence resulting in a server with 0 zombies indefinitely until it crashes involuntarily. I don't have an obligation to log on immediately whenever shit stops spawning and restart the server. I pay for and maintain the server as it already is, I shouldn't have to sit there 24/7 and make sure buggy netcode doesn't fuck up spawning.Figure out who owns these servers, pm them, and ask them to restart it, simple really. Asking them to restart their servers is not going to work since the owners are aware but aren't restarting.Edit: This is actually being advertised by the admins of these servers, hence the whole "Travel server" name. zenvolta 12 Posted June 14, 2012 Iv never heard of this but the good thing is that if the server has 0 zombies most of the time the loot wont spawn either. Plus with the long load times and connection issues a person has a much harder time trying to come behind you(unless you were camping to start with lol)

I never said anything about "fault." I simply said you could, if you so choose, decide NOT to restart the server under these circumstances, hence rendering it an indefinitely, 0 zombie safe haven. That's within your power.Figure out who owns these servers, pm them, and ask them to restart it, simple really.Right, unless the admin chooses not to restart purposefully which is what the thread is about? Lord, man. Try to step down off the admin soapbox there a bit and join the conversation.

I apologize if I come off hostile.
