InsaneInTheBrainLA 1 Posted September 30, 2012 (edited) At the start, when I first bought Arma 2 and installed DayZ, I got 25 FPS on the highest graphics. Now, Im lucky if I get 12 on the lowest, even outside cities. I dont see why this should be happening, Ive followed and combined multiple optimization guides and my computer is more than enough for DayZ, according to other specs Ive seen.AMD FX 6100 3.3 GHz Six-Core12GB DDR3 RAM2TB SATA HDDATI Radeon 6670 PCI-E 2GBWindows 7 Home Premium 64-BitThanks in advance.Edit: Now Im getting 9 FPS at the start menu and its totally frozen and not responding. Mos1ey 6301 Posted September 30, 2012 How many servers have you tried? Some just give really poor performance.
RIGHTLY 87 Posted September 30, 2012 Yeah some servers are pretty bad. Just keep hopping till you find a good one.
Zeppa 562 Posted September 30, 2012 If its fukd up in start menu its not a server issue, how is other games running?
InsaneInTheBrainLA 1 Posted September 30, 2012 I've lost access to Arrowhead now, start menu freezes the whole computer. It wont even start. Arma II starts up fine.PS: I just bought this computer 2 weeks ago/
Mos1ey 6301 Posted September 30, 2012 Ah, that's not good, lol...My machine's not THAT much better than yours and I get 200 FPS on the menu and 30-80 in game on a mix of high and very high settings. Is it only ARMA that you're having problems with or all games? Arma 2 is fantastic on very high settings.
InsaneInTheBrainLA 1 Posted September 30, 2012 I feel like something went wrong in trying to optimize DayZ.I edited the Ini files in My Documents, if that helps, and I used RAMdisk.
Mos1ey 6301 Posted September 30, 2012 That's strange...Maybe try verifying your ARMA II: OA game cache in Steam and, if that doesn't work, reinstalling? :S
InsaneInTheBrainLA 1 Posted September 30, 2012 Verified integrity. On the bright side, I got to the main menu! I'll see if playing is just as good.
InsaneInTheBrainLA 1 Posted September 30, 2012 No luck with joining servers. But its safe to say my FPS is saved. Cheers, mate. :)
Mos1ey 6301 Posted September 30, 2012 Nice.As for joining servers - download DayZ Commander and update to the latest ARMA II beta patch. You can then use DayZ Commander to make sure you're joining a server running the same beta version as you.
Zeppa 562 Posted September 30, 2012 When you are updated to lates betapatch you still can join servers that are running older betapatch, at least most of the time.Personally I always install the newest version.

BioHazard050 49 Posted October 1, 2012 Some servers bugger up your client and make your game look like a slideshow. US 77 has been good to me, try it and see if it helps.
