a4410 10 Posted September 30, 2012 So a few days ago I had taken up the Crossbow challenge, (Challenge of using only crossbow), and I am really starting to like it.Anyways today I was in Elektrovodsk picking up some friends to lead them north. They started taking fire while in the city. I saw multiple bandits and warned them. Eventually they got pinned down by a sniper while down by the old power plant.I proceeded to make my way down. I got to them and lead them to the hill Dobry. But then again we started taking sniper fire. My friend got killed and another got seperated from me. I started moving to the top of the hill to try and find the sniper.I got about to the pinetrees where snipers like to hide and realized he was not there. But I did see another bandit up there. I yelled friendly in direct (his name was Jon). He started shooting at me and I dove for cover. The crossbow is useless for anything more than 45 meters and I was about 70 away. I made my way up the hill moving from tree to tree taking fire all the way (he had an M4A3).I got in within 40 meters and proceded to warn him that I was deadly with the crossbow. I had killed 2 other men with it. Still he did not respond. He let loose one last burst, and started to reload. I let loose a bolt and the bolt pierced his skull... Immediately dead.All in all I was quite proud of myself for making this kill. CerebralZombie (DayZ) 151 Posted September 30, 2012 Haha! That's a pretty cool story. =]I've used the crossbow twice now, and wasn't very good with it. Missed the zombies way more than I would with a handgun or other weapon.
