Dear Jon (Good Story)

So a few days ago I had taken up the Crossbow challenge, (Challenge of using only crossbow), and I am really starting to like it.

Anyways today I was in Elektrovodsk picking up some friends to lead them north. They started taking fire while in the city. I saw multiple bandits and warned them. Eventually they got pinned down by a sniper while down by the old power plant.

I proceeded to make my way down. I got to them and lead them to the hill Dobry. But then again we started taking sniper fire. My friend got killed and another got seperated from me. I started moving to the top of the hill to try and find the sniper.

I got about to the pinetrees where snipers like to hide and realized he was not there. But I did see another bandit up there. I yelled friendly in direct (his name was Jon). He started shooting at me and I dove for cover. The crossbow is useless for anything more than 45 meters and I was about 70 away. I made my way up the hill moving from tree to tree taking fire all the way (he had an M4A3).

I got in within 40 meters and proceded to warn him that I was deadly with the crossbow. I had killed 2 other men with it. Still he did not respond. He let loose one last burst, and started to reload. I let loose a bolt and the bolt pierced his skull... Immediately dead.

All in all I was quite proud of myself for making this kill. It was quite fun.

Again Jon from server US 2900 don't every mess with a crossbowman again.

Never really tried the crossbow for pvp, interesting read indeed.

Haha! That's a pretty cool story. =]

I've used the crossbow twice now, and wasn't very good with it. Missed the zombies way more than I would with a handgun or other weapon. It really does need a big upgrade in many ways, but I could see getting good with it.
