Should I wait?

Somebody gifted me Arma 2CO but Recently he charged back and I don't have the game anymore

Should I wait till the the standalone release or just buy Arma 2?

Some of my friends are asking the same thing, but with hackers it isn't worth playing too much unless you're playing on private hives. (Which I am guessing most people do now?) Plus there are plenty of other great games available now with GW2, Borderlands and Fifa 13 being released and AC3 coming up soon I'm sure one or two of those titles would be enough to last until standalone.

Buy it, see where it all started, hacker shmuckers. You can still join a clan and a private server and experience the mod in it's glory (Don't let other tell you otherwise, the ARMA2 community is ,massive and will breed into the other BI lines sooner or later)

It's worth experiencing!!

There are other games out there, it is your choice at the end of the day.

I think you should buy it because it is easily one of my favourite games, ever. And when the standalone is out you can be part of the crowd that can claim that they played the alpha test ;)

I'm not clear, did you actually get to play before your "friend" had it revoked?

I find this whole thing shady tbh, sounds like you used a stolen card to gift yourself a game and it was reported stolen, so I get a hacker vibe right away.

I could be way way off, but go ahead and stay away till standalone.

Edit: I looked into it further and you've had the game for months, you're telling us you've not only had the game for months you've even played it and you don't know if its worth buying.

My red flag is waving.
