DayZ kills randomly kills my Internet for 30 seconds!

Recommended Posts

When I play DayZ my Internet keeps dropping for 30 seconds and then coming back normally. Sometimes I even lagg on skype before the Internet drops!

This only happens while playing DayZ! What is wrong? Why is it dropping my Internet?

This happens totally random. Sometimes I play perfectly fine, and sometimes it keeps dropping my Internet every few minutes

Do you spam refresh in commander or the server list? That happens to me when I do so. All the time with commander.

EXACTLY the same thing happening to me! I don't know what causes this but it only happens when I'm about to get into a server of when DayZ Commander is open. It doesn't happen when I'm ingame though.

It's not only happening when using DayZ commander! It's also happening when playing through Steam!

My problem may be similar, While I do not have the best internet (almost full speed ADSL1) whenever I play day z I always get yellow chains and massive ping spikes. When I quit the game and play others it returns to normal.

It seems to happen on both public and private servers. This is incredibly frustrating as it only started a few days ago and I ended up buying a new router because I wanted to run an isolation test. This games bugs are beyond unbelievable.

Get with a different ISP? It might be something wrong with your ethernet adapter or its drivers. I'm guessing it's a software issue on your end.

I actually checked if it was my Internet's fault, and it wasn't. This is completely caused by DayZ!
