thatoleserpent 15 Posted September 28, 2012 Ahoy there, Thank you for reading : ) DayZ is a unique game, the arma engine is boss however, it was not made to do what DayZ requires, in my opinion this is why it must become a standalone game. i have spent many hours peering into the mod and the engine itself. Lets face it, this is the best combat simulator out there, battlefield ain't got nothing on this shit. its weakness is its difficulty, people don't wanna loose there shit. Yet the fact remains that this is just one of the things that makes this game so special. It must remain a game that will make you angry at times. The hacking issue is a real one, but just think of the loads of data all shit is producing for the creators to fix it. People who play serious games like this need more than looting and pvp. Highly dynamic and sophisticated crafting mechanics are a must, this game will get boring to easily.... We need to dig, we need to build, we need to invent!!! We need clear cut tiers of quality gear. weapons maintenance blood types, and thousands of clothes, bags, skins, weapon skins and headgear. We need character creation. we need a place to call home and a place to meet with friends with groups to join and even alliances of groups. These challenges are all part of a bigger picture, imagine replicating teh entire US based on google earth images and have everyone that logs in all be on one server at the same time. Imagine creating the conditions that require things like trust, deception, politics and ethics. Imagine a game where the there are no admins, just gm's. There is no limit to what could come out of such a thing, even the use of an apparatus instead of a computer, or be used in unintended ways like the simulation of risky RL tasks!!! This has the potential to be bigger than facebook, think about it. Its only a matter of time before something like this comes out considering fiber optics and the new cloud concept. Anyway, I think Dayz is one of the best games ever made, however at this juncture, there is so much more to be done in order to create a world changing game. googlebox 8 Posted September 28, 2012 rocket said he wants to add crafting and base building in the future look it up before you start postin but nice idea......and nobody wants a u.s map because we is bored of the united states we want flavour places such as london dublin city and moscow and brazil is what we want not yer high an mighty united states cus we already had a taste of america in mw2 and mw3 the war z is in america why dont you mozey on over there?
