ive fixed up countless cars, I think something you should work on making them save through reset, aswell as them blowing up from hitting those humvee wrecks with the wheel sticking out

I agree, they need to explode less...

If I hit a wall at 80mph that's fine. If I roll over a small rock at 40mph, that's a little harsh...

I've driven and fixed up a lot of vehicles, and I've ran most of them into various random objects, including cement walls, stone walls, fences, road blocks, rocks, and trees. They've all saved through resets, and not once has one ever exploded.

They do save through reset, provided you save them. You knew about saving them, right? Mouse wheel menu "Save "? Hopefully one day this is automated - a player entering/exiting vehicle should save it automatically.

Also, don't wreck into things. I would think that would go without saying, but there you have it. I said it.

Where do you spend your time? They don't just pop up in the middle of town, generally. Find a map and study it. I have had a lot of luck with "house at the end of the road" type places. Seek and ye shall find.

Of course, unless you have an engine, 4 wheels, scrap metal, fuel tank and at least one jerry can you're going to have to get lucky and find one partially repaired.

Or, you can always steal someone else's ride.

Helicopters come equipped with vehicle radar and my group has owned two.. so yeah, there's that. :P

P.S to the guy who said "find a map and study it" what map? only maps ive found are the yellow dot map and moocow map is there some specific map for vehicles?

No... the map. Like' date=' in the game. And I provided a very strong hint for using that map to figure out where to go to look for vehicles. I have found 3 different vehicles in the span of about 1000m simply by looking at the map and saying "Oh, gee, that looks like an interesting little nook or cranny. Let me go investigate."

I would not use out-of-game maps to look for vehicles. The most "comprehensive" one I found didn't have any of the 3-4 vehicles I know about, and I'm not about to go adding them for everyone to see.

I've only ever exploded once, it was a tractor at full health. I hit a tree and i think it clipped into it. The engine went yellow, then after a second or two BOOM.

And yes, those who control the helicopters can find pretty much every vehicle on the map thanks to the radar.

Look at the map and ask yourself:

If I owned a vehicle, where would I hide it so others can't take it?

Then go there. I found a stash of no less than 6 vehicles hidden in the forest this way :).

Also boats are generally in the water.
