Jaqlada 6 Posted September 27, 2012 I ran into a player, US 1244. I was moving through Elektro for supplies, and ran into a player at the inner city fire station. I called out friendly to him, and watched the area to see his reaction. I then proceeded up the stairs, and ran into him. He had a ghillie suit on, with his secondary out. I assumed he had no ammo for his primary, because normally a player running up to you, would mean it's the time to pull out the big gun. After trying to get him to speak on a mic, with no success... I decided to give him some supplies. Figuring his primary was out of ammunition, I gave him mine.. M14 AIM with 3 DMR mags, I also gave him 3 cooked meat, and a water bottle. Now, considering the player had the opportunity to shoot me in the head, take my Coyote Backpack, and the rest of my supplies.. But didn't, I figured it was actually a nice deed.
LukeSkywalkers 31 Posted September 27, 2012 Why would you give anyone your primary weapon? Also I understand why he didn't shoot you afterwards. Not all players are dicks that shoot you in the back...

Not all players are dicks that shoot you in the back...If he did shoot me, I would have just ran to one of my many coastal tents, geared up, and hunted him down. I'm not particularly worried about dying, I just play because of boredom.. So my primary, in the end, isn't too important to me :D. TheTaltsi 45 Posted September 27, 2012 @Taltsi Not being on the "YOU ARE DEAD." Screen. :PYou mean being in the "YOU ARE DEAD" screen? Every time i try to be friendly, i get shot, just saves the trouble shooting first yourself (If i was in the firehouse with you, i would have shot you while you were giving me stuff)
Skin69niks 72 Posted September 27, 2012 Unless I know the person, they are in TS with me, are unarmed or obviously a freshy they are considered hostile until they provide me with any reason to believe otherwise. After a month of solid playing, this world has created the bandit in me, call me a product of my environment. I tried to be friendly in the beginning, it is my natural inclination but DayZ has taught me that unlike the real world...in DayZ nice guys really DO finish last. Since I changed to the new policy I have enjoyed unending success....except to hackers which I have not found an answer to other than an admin with a ban hammer!!

Elite Skydaz 13 Posted September 27, 2012 (edited) I'm pretty sure I'm the kind of guy, who lays on the ground crying for help acting like my legs are broken. When someone comes to try and help, and I see them giving me some morphine they're dead. So he's a lucky man, he wasn't killed by someone like me who would've killed him the minute he was in medium range and turned around.Even if the guy wasn't going to shoot you in the back, I would never give someone my weapon. If I were going to, I would check their backpack first to check them out; take all of the things they can kill me with, then drop all of his equipment and his desired item in a location that'll give me enough time to run into a well-elevated concealed location to watch his activities.
