Some event Missions are with a time limit. There can be main and secondary mission at the same time.Radio: The Radio is the main element. There are different frequencies that can be changed.1. Main frequency (for all players on the server)2. Group frequency (only for people at the same Group)Maybe: main frequeny plays endtime music Needs:radio, KI Players, equipmentExamples of event missions:1. Gold RushMessage: A old Survivor died today. Rumors says that he buried somewhere around Novy Sabor in the earth his loot. Your need a metal detector with battery and a shovel to get his heritage.2. Plane CrashMessage: Somewhere in the north-east crashed a military plane. Rumors says that an infected Person was on board that killed all people. You need a Toolbox to get into that plane to loot the Inventory.3.Rescue himMessage: A Survivor (KI) is locked up deep in the Mountains in the Nort-West. The House is surrounded by lots of Zombies.Player Ask Events (player ask event - asking possible only with a radio):1.Help neededMessage: A Player is shortly before death. He ask for help over radio. The Message says that he has broken bones and crawls somewhere around Myshkino. You need morphine-injector and maybe one Bloodpack to rescue him.2.Repair serviceMessage: A Player is asking for repair service he is sorrounded by lots of Zombies. 2 Wheels are broken and he need gasoline. The Message says that he is somewhere around Lopatino.3.Hungry & ThirstyMessage: A Player is near Death. He needs Food and Water. He ask for help. The Message says that he is in the north-east of Devil´s Castle.4.Camp XYZ needsMessage: The Camp XYZ asking for help. Making the point of missions less.You can communicate in game effectively with ts, vent etc so I'm sure some players are living out missions all of their own making.We, my mates and I, do this often, Meet at grid ref xxx extract an item of xxx and get out. all co-ordinted and executed with millitary precision. the higher the target, the higher the stakes. Planning is the key.the addition of radios would be a good idea, It would add so much more to the game, but they should be rare and When a player was killed, the reaction of those he was communicating to would add an air of mistrust upon the new holder of said radio. You can turn off Player Events in the main and group frequency if u dont want to help.2. You can only send a Message if you have the Problem.Like a broken Bone, Broken Wheels an so on , you have no Food (Radius scan) and so on and onBut maybe....player using this player events as a Trap...but if u dont want to help dont help and turn Player Ask events off. :D Edited September 27, 2012 by DaGolem Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

So i have thinking about using and changing this system from Arma2 for DayZ. Because i think that it is easy to handle for the Dev Team. Stop the presses and pass me the bottle!Sarcasm and my own brand of humor aside.First off, the OP here is not the first to post ideas similar to this. I have seen at least two others that have had the suggestions for players to be able to receive both local and 'global' radio broadcasts for downed choppers, convoys, and other such similar events. Yes, this would be rife with abuse, because every bandit with a sniper rifle is going to take a position up on a hill and watch for people who are far less observant to come crashing through the tree line in order to grab their loot. Also I hesitate to make the broadcasts specific, as that would take away part of the fun of discovering what the broadcasts were. It could be something as simple as someone radioing for help, or as complex as a full strength military group cutting through the country side. Riem 164 Posted September 27, 2012 Eh, that happens in DayZ too.But it's more like, 'hey, I've got something I want to trade/need to use, any one want to help?' they then wonder why no one came to help them at the spot they designated, and keep wondering that until someone picks them off. MasterZ 90 Posted September 27, 2012 The game could really use a proper friendlist and blacklist now that I think about it.Just a list where you can add people that are friendly (towards you at least) and fun to play with so you can easily communicate and maybe team up.And a blacklist which should not have an actual function but can be used to tally people that show hostile or banditry behavior towards others to share with your friends. Sharing is a good thing.If you got the Blacklist that u can say " Don´t get any Message from this Player over Radio"A good thing to prevent Bandits Trap. :DBut i like the thrill of "maybe is Trap" If a player ask event is incoming. It´s social thing...can i trust him, is it a trap...for me it´s part of the fun in this game. Searching the location for a trap then helping.
