Killed my first player

So today I was killed by a ghillefag in cherno. I left the server shortly after to find a more populated server. I found a better one and I went to Elektro. Upon searching the church someone was standing in the doorway with an axe staring at me. I asked if he was friendly and he gave no reply. So I Q and E'd like 3 times and I guess he took it as something friendly. I left the church while he searched it and I was at the supermarket when I heard gunfire. So I snuck towards the sound of gunfire and saw a bandit crawling with a golden AKS shooting at my axe friend. So I killed the bandit and took his golden AKS. Sadly, Axe friend was already dead.

Question, Does it make me a bandit to kill the bandit because he killed a survivor?
