Possibility of zombies spawning from gunshots?

Is it possible to have zombies spawn on a player? If so zombies should spawn in a random location around a player after he shoots his weapon to simulate that walkers are everywhere, not just in towns.

They should spawn outside of the 30 meter minimum distance, say 50-150 meters out (edit: or even longer, a kilometer maybe?), and then have them jogging in the direction of where the gunshot was heard until they see someone or until they get so far away from players that they despawn.

Maybe spawn more zombies the louder the weapon is?

And have a timer for the specific area so that only one batch of zombies can spawn in a specific area at any one time?

Etc etc.

i like this idea very much, would give bandits a pause before opening up on a player they don't really need to kill. Just make sure how many zombies spawn are sufficiently randomised and based on the weapon firing, and how far away any buildings are. eg if you are in the middle of a forest without no buildings for miles, then no zeds would spawn.

Why?

Zeds already spawn in towns etc when a player is near and if he then shoots while they are close by they will be attracted.

I just don’t care for needless fake mechanics, IE spawning something because a player does or does not take a certain action.

It should be as it is, if a player shoots and a zed is nearby he gets rushed, if he shoots and there are no zeds nearby he doesn’t. Realistic and simple.

you do realise that zombies only spawn in towns when players are near that town right? Gee what a needless and fake mechanic! The only reason zombies dont spawn in other areas is because there is nothing to tie them to, i.e. you cant have a zombie spawn for each tree.

This idea will make it seem as though there are zombies roaming the map, that aren't restricted to towns, meaning, like in a real zombie apocalypse, you can never be sure that noone else will hear you fire your weapon.

The idea that infected would stay put and only be around buildings is more ridiculous imo.

Zeds are infected people, people are found more often in and around towns/buildings. Therefore more buildings, bigger towns equal more zeds. It’s logical.

It is not logical to think that zeds exist everywhere at all times and will ALWAYS show up every time a weapon is fired.
