If i missed it, let me know.Me and all the people i play with have been tossing this idea around, and i thought it should get it suggested if it ever have a chance of happending. A helicopter in DayZ is a rare, and extremely effective way of transport, and assault. And it should be rare, but i think another could be added without ruining the prestige of having one. It should ofcourse be a russian made chopper, and it should be one without any mounted weapons, so as it stays transport only. I do belive a weaponless version of the MI-8 exists in Arma 2, and should be able to be added too the mod without to much trubble. It should also have more mid-map spawn points, so you dont have to trek across the wastes.It would give more than 1 group the chance of having a helicopter. If one group had both, it would give them a much easier choice of flying (if you only have one, you are reluctant to use it, in case you loose it). That would remove the current situation that many helicopters sit idle, since the owners fear crashing or loosing it if they use it.Let me know if there is any support for this idea. sheriffhd 61 Posted September 25, 2012 I wouldnt mind seeing a Civi Helocopter in the game, maybe could throw it down Bolota air strip or the North East airfield.As for choppers my fear has never been about crashing them or lossing them, but mainly refueling them, they take fucking ages to refuel. needless to say you want to have a few people with you when you do so. How many survivors of DayZ know how to fix, maintain and flay a helicopter?Not many, but adding a unarmed transport helicopter wouldn´t break the game, and it would give the groups who dont have their own server, but a big enough group to have a helicopter, a chance to get one.
