The Alphabeat. 16 Posted September 23, 2012 (edited) HeySo I just decided to go and play some Day Z again after a few weeks of not playing anymore. I've updated everything to the correct version and all of a sudden I spawn and it says "YOU ARE DEAD" wait 5 seconds to continue playing etc. But then when I am about to hit respawn, "Setup completed, please wait" appears and after waiting for that I spawn in the 'death area'. I don't know how to call it but it's like outside the map where all dead people get temporarily teleported to when their character is creating I think, or when they die. I am in there, I see some other idling characters laying/standing next to me and I'm unconscious. I appear to be wearing my camo suit still, that's all I can see, and I see the hour glass. At first I Thought my screen froze but after waiting for 15 minutes I noticed it was actually going down, but very very slowly. I don't know why this is happening but it seems like it's going to take hours before I wake up, and where will I even end up when I wake up?Anyone know how to fix this? Any way to commit suicide or something? Because I can't even press ESC during this period of unconsciousness and I am not going to leave my game open, waiting 5 hours straight until I wake up! mibz0r 141 Posted September 23, 2012 I would say the best trick to try is: Join a server running 1.7.2.4 and wait until you get the final loading screen (it should stay on this screen) ALT&Tab to desktop, open up task manager and stop Arma II, now go back to a 1.7.2.6 server and you should respawn on the beach. I still have the same unconsciousness timer but if anyone would be able to log on and either give me an epipen or kill me (I prefer the first if you're a kind person) but I don't really mind.The server I'm on is DE 1999. I'm currently at the coast of Kamenka. I think I'm wearing a camo suit and my character is an african american male. Give me a bullet to the head or be polite and give me an epipen, that's what I prefer. Then I would be incredibly thankful! Seven months later..I believe the bones have been picked clean of that toon..and this topic.I guess Im suppose to say "in b4 lock" but I'll say "Glad to see someone take an interest. Have a thought that isnt self"Rofl I feel so stupid. I didn't notice this topic was 7 months old. I only saw the day or something... your post was what popped up when I googled this problem. Sorry about that man.But yeah I fixed it myself. I joined a popular server that hide Sidechat enabled and had someone come kill me.
