Bad Serial on start up of DayZ/Arma2OA

Had to join this forum due to my other searches for a "Fix" has been fruitless.

Recently, On start up on DayZ, Or Arma 2 Operation arrowhead, I seem to have the error where it loads for a split 5 seconds, then shuts down giving the error: "Bad serial given on startup"

Not sure why this problem has come up, nor do i have knowledge on how to fix it, I am aware that this problem has come up on the forums as well, But unfortunately, the fixes posted on said threads, do not work.

I have currently tried the following to fix said problem. Non have worked.

PC Restart.

Verifying integrity of cache.

Completely re installing Arma 2 and Arma 2 Operation arrowhead

Replies would be appreciated.

if steam version, then u just need to start steam as admin

(i had that problem too)

- to do so, go right click on steam icon, properties, compatibility tab, and check the box *run this program as administrator*

win7 might give u some crap message about instability this might cause, ignore that.

Alrighty, Giving it a go right now.

No dice. still getting bad serial given on startup.

Going to do a double post. unfortunately. Found out what the problem was. This is the problem now, Instead of it saying Bad serial key given, It's now this shitty message.

Well, There goes the money i spent on purchasing Arrowhead. Hopefully DayZ Standalone won't have these problems.
