False Positive Ban? On US 525 Dallas

Recommended Posts

I was banned from US 525 Dallas hosted by 654987 for no reason. One minute I was playing with some of my friends and then the server did its usual reset and when I tried to log back in it gave me this Battle Eye: Admin Ban (DayZ Anti- Hax Remote Execution)). A friend of mine on the server was asking about what that was and one of the guys said on the server that sometimes if you crash certain vehicles it will cause that to happen. The only thing I can think of was that earlier my group and I killed about 5 guys who had a helicopter and then after I botched a landing and crashed it. I really have no idea what happened so if I perhaps could get unbanned that would be nice. From what I have read on google it seems that this banning script seems to incite a lot of false positives and my name/GUID does not appear to be on the community ban list.

I'm the admin on that server and I can confirm that the same thing happened to me a last week. I crashed a chopper and I was banned for remote code execution on the next server reboot. I was only banned locally and never had an issue logging into another server. We were running DayZ anti-hax 0.5 but just upgraded to 0.6.

I see this in the remoteexec.log file:

22.09.2012 17:44:03: Shade (1.1.1.1:2324) guid - #38 "[this] spawn BIS_Effects_AirDestruction"

22.09.2012 17:44:03: Shade (1.1.1.1:2324) guid - #40 "[this] spawn BIS_Effects_AirDestruction"

22.09.2012 17:44:03: Shade (1.1.1.1:2324) guid - #38 "[this, 1.29564, 6025.03]spawn BIS_Effects_AirDestructionStage2"

22.09.2012 17:44:03: Shade (1.1.1.1:2324) guid - #40 "[this, 1.29564, 6025.03]spawn BIS_Effects_AirDestructionStage2"

22.09.2012 17:44:03: Shade (1.1.1.1:2324) guid - #38 "[this, 1.29564, 6025.03,false,true]spawn BIS_Effects_Burn"

22.09.2012 17:44:03: Shade (1.1.1.1:2324) guid - #40 "[this, 1.29564, 6025.03,false,true]spawn BIS_Effects_Burn"

This is in the createvehicle.log:

22.09.2012 17:44:03: Shade (1.1.1.1:2324) guid - #0 "HelicopterExploSmall" 9:481 0:0 [5703,14956,438] [0,0,0]

22.09.2012 17:44:03: Shade (1.1.1.1:2324) guid - #0 "HelicopterExploBig" 9:482 0:0 [5703,14956,439] [0,0,0]

22.09.2012 17:44:18: Shade (1.1.1.1:2324) guid - #0 "SmallSecondary" 9:487 0:0 [5707,14948,432] [0,0,0]

shaders - I've been removing your entry in the bans.txt file but it's automatically showing up again after a few minutes.

p.s. we want our chopper back :P

edit: removed IP addresses from logs

You can have your chopper back the thing started sliding when I landed it and then it exploded. I suppose I should have picked a more level spot to land it. Also why does it keep re-adding it after you remove it? It still keeps giving me the same error for whatever reason :>

This "BIS_Effects_AirDestruction" effect is detected by AntiHax and it will ban for it. The effect can be totally legit when a helicotper crashes. Usually the pilot will "spawn" this effect in the remotexec.log, but other players might have this logged too if they are near the chopper. Just remove this effect from the remoteexec.txt file so it doesn't get detected anymore or only set it to "1" so it's only logged and not banned/kicked for.

Thanks for the info. I've set the option to '1' so hopefully it stops banning for this.
