CBL ban appeal

Recommended Posts

Good Morning,

I am admin for the HGS clan for about 4 years now. I have played with Stoned sniper for servral month and I have not had any feelings that he was hacking/ glitching/ or bug abusing.

To be serious.......who of us has never had picked up a gun from the guy we shot?! If that gun is hacked or not is not always clear.....

The gray Zone of the new anti hack tools is still too big and sometimes people like stoned sniper get banned, even if the are legit players.

I find it odd that a server admin would only just have registered, just to post in the thread of a random person who happens to be reported as a cheater on another server.

He's just covering his buddy. He had played with him for a pretty long time now, I can confirm that.

Another funny thing, Mr. SneakyB also banned me innocently from the Chernarus Life Server in Arma 2 Vanilla a few months ago, so he should know what it's about :P (luckily I got unbanned by the head admin a few hours later ...)

Okay, that's fair enough, I apologise.

Can you stop bolding your text? and your signature is hard to even look at it makes me want to not scroll down the page.

OP, you were banned a long time ago for hacking but since there is no log excerpt I will remove it.

Nope. I'll do it now purely to piss you off.

Well now that's just mean. I want a moderator on my team who'll make your text rainbow colored. >:l

Like I replied to your CBL issue (https://code.google....munity-banlist/):

Please note that while we rechecked most log files, there may be a few false-positives due to cheaters executing scripts across clients before this was effectively logged by battleye and simply due to the nature of this collaborative project. We have striven to eliminate most edge cases. We have quite a few bans that were issued for continued "abusive behavior", like consistent defamatory or derogatory chat messages. We will repeal those, though, if people ask. In general, if someone wishes to appeal, they should open an issue ticket on this page. We'll then look into our files again.

I assumed you were a grandfathered ban as searching your GUID doesn't show any submissions. I decided to stop being lazy and run it against the bans.txt and it isn't listed. If you are CBL banned then your GUID is wrong. To find your GUID connect to a non-cbl server and type:

#beclient guid

Search the output against the CBL 'All issues' and the bans.txt filter to see if you're on it.

You have to wait till BE has updated and is loaded. If you join any server, it should show your GUID after BE was loaded and finsihed verifying your GUID. Just stay in the lobby until this message at the bottom left pops up. After it showed your GUID and said "BattlEye Client initialized" you should be able to use the command Vortech gave you to get your GUID again.

You are not on the CBL with that GUID. I just checked it. Neither are there reports for that GUID, nor is it in the banfile.

Are you sure you have been banned on the CBL and not by a admin on his personal, non-CBL banlist?

Yeah now that we've confirmed you're not on the list you need to determine if it is a local ban, BEC ban, or BE Global Ban. Show us a screenshot of the message OR write out what it says and the server location ID.

its not a be global ban cuz i can join other serves with be enabled without a prob

these are the errors im getting on a bunch of random different servers:

1. You were kicked off the game (battleye: Admin ban (w4d9b2182 0x0f44d938))

2. Connecting failed (this happens on allot of servers after it trys to load for a few sec)

3. You were kicked off the game. (battleye: admin ban (dayz anti hax (Dayz Anti-Hax (DayZ Community Banlist)))

Well you are definatly not on the CBL (anymore?). Where you at some point on the CBL? Some servers might use a outdated version of the CBL and that could be the reason why youa re (still) banend if you had been on the CBL at in the past but got unbanned.

Ok so you ARE on the CBL and like I assumed in the first place, you were grandfathered in. Just post an issue with your GUID requesting they take you off the list as it was grandfathered in. You can even link this thread.

Yeah but it's a mess :P Just make a post explaining everything and just be patient until they can update the list.

I don't think Vortech can do that. ;)

Strange, now I find your GUID in the banlist. Last time I searched the banlist I couldn't find it. Maybe copy/paste error on my part.

To speed up the appeal, create a new issue named "Ban Appeal". Post your GUID there and explain the situation. You can also provide a link to this thread. That way Jens can find the appeal quicker and handle it faster. Now your issue looks like a regular ban submit ("Submit a Ban").

Don't worry, grandfathered-in bans have always been removed AFAIK. But you might still need patience as Jens, the guy who can unban you, is still not availible. Good luck.
