superleam99 4 Posted September 22, 2012 So i bought arma 2 combined ops from steam because my friend wanted me to play dayz with him. So i installed it and dayz wich took me like 6 hours -_-. Then when we begun i spawned in the bottom left corner of the map. He spawned really near Elektro.then we were supposed to meet between Cherno and Elektro. That did not go as planed since there was snipers everywhere. When we finally met he gave me his makarow (or makarov). Then we saw a guy with makarov so we killed him for ammo (we had to he was gonna shoot us). Then we walked to Elektro we got our asses kicked but i got a revolver with 2 mags and he got an m1911. We then looted the store and found food and drinks. We then escaped to Cherno and he broke his leg and got down to 2k blood. I had to leave him there to go get morphine (I'm swedish sorry for the grammar) and blood. There was also Antibiotics there but we did not know what they did so we left them. we then escaped back to the field hospital. There we found a m1014 and an AKM. I picked up the m1014 then tried to put in my backpack. Then ofcourse comes a glitch that if you dont have enough space the weapons despawned. Then i failed and lost the ak. We then went around the middle between Cherno and Elektro and raided small villages and farms. And ofcourse my friend got an infection so he coughed and lost blood. After like 2 hours we went to Elektro and logged out since i had to eat and go do other stuff. When we came back it was night time so we stopped playing since we had nothing to see with. So next day when we played the server had like 25 players. We went up on a hill. We were laying down he had a guille suit not me. then behind me comes a bandit my friends screams abort and i dont know why. He hen said on VOIP. herrjon 478 Posted September 22, 2012 (edited) Sounds like a successful first day. You'll pick up on the glitches, and know what's important to take and not take. I would've taken the antibiotics in a heartbeat since I'm a medic, but if it was between blood for yourself or antibiotics for a possible cough (which unfortunately did happen) I'd say blood would still be the right choice.Just remember to check your six frequently. kryvian 123 Posted September 22, 2012 (edited) hahaha, oh the joys of the unknown, seems like fun.big weapons (primaries) take 10 slots, if your backpack is the starter backpack (aka coyote PATROL PACK; 6 slots) your weapon will be destroyed. Same thing happens if you try to put a weapon in a backpack that has less than 10 free slots (idk if this is still true, haven't risked it in a long time). Your friend's infection can be treated with that antibiotic you found earlier, that is rather rare.There's a lot of CoD kiddies (as in the mentality, not necessary that they're also CoD players or kids) on the coast with the most top tier items that have been duplicated, killing anything and everything because they're too deadbrain to understand it isn't a who gets the most kills kind of game; so if you guys want to stick to public hive servers, I suggest you get a handgun each, if lucky a primary, run to the hospital, get 3 morphines each, 2 blood bags, and if lucky, any antibiotics; a map and/or a compass; then head inland where you don't come across faggots as much; of you can go to Berezino that's up north on the coast, it has 2 apartment complexes, 2 stores and a hospital so it's ideal for gearing up and resupply. If you guys can't find a map, you can always use a map that's outside the game, like http://dayzdb.com/map , but you'll have to alt-tab a lot.When you find a new backpack OR new clothes (example camo/ghillie), TAKE OFF YOUR BACKPACK before you change your clothes. If you don't, your backpack will revert to a previous backpack (aka in most cases a coyote patrol pack, and any items that don't fit into them are lost; so beware. superleam99 4 Posted September 22, 2012 ok so today i respawned met up in elektro. We were looting after a server restart. then i got hurt by a zombie i got really low blood. we then heard AKM's. So like 2 mins later i pass out. When im out someone runs in shots my buddy takes his ALICE pack and gillle (sorry someone please tell me how it is spelled). we of course get mad so we hear more AKM's. then when my friend respawns he spawns just outside elektro (Thank God). He is on his way back to me when he is attacked by the most well armed guy he has ever seen. Luckily he finds an M1911 and 2 mags then kills him and the guy was LOADED. He had an FN FAL with 2 mags and an AKM with 9 mags and a coyote backpack (the biggest in the game) a PDW. So we thought that was alot of stuff when my friend got to me he gave me the AKM and let me store ammo in his bag. We then thought that we where not safe in Elektro so we left for the north. While we were heading for the forest someone started firing at us with a DMR. He missed all the shots so we aborted for 15 mins. We then went through and raided most of the small cities. we then after a while got to Novy sobor we where getting out of there since there was to many zombies coming there. One broke my bone so i had to crawl i now had 1000 blood. Then i passed out my friend pulled me out of Novy. I now started bleeding like hell because zombies were coming. when we had fought them of and got bandedged(?). I now had 64 blood and a broken leg and also no morphine or bloodbags. so we had to abort he will go to a city and find me blood and morphine tommorrow Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Mine wasn't so fun.I was killed by Zombies a half dozen times trying to find loot in Kamenka, Komarovo, etc.A hatchet (that I couldn't figure out how to use) was the best I got until I decided to log out and go read the forum/wiki for a bit.You have a buddy to play with - so you'll have much more fun, even if you epic fail over and over again. :thumbsup: Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
