Omaran 18 Posted September 19, 2012 I have tried with BERcon and DaRT, but I can't connect to my server via RCON.I have checked and checked again BEServer.cfg and the password is correct, the IP and Port I am trying to connect with is correct, the ports are open to the firewall - I even turned the firewall off to test and still can't connect.BEServer.cfg is in cfgdayz\Battleye, I also copied it to Expansion\battleye - but still no good.Any suggestions?TIA
XAM 48 Posted September 20, 2012 What message are you getting? Also check for a file named beserver_SOMETHING_active.cfg and delete it.
Omaran 18 Posted September 20, 2012 What message are you getting? Also check for a file named beserver_SOMETHING_active.cfg and delete it.The message in BERcon just says 'can't connect to server'. DaRT says the same and to 'check beserver.cfg that password is correct'.There is no 'beserver_SOMETHING_active.cfg'This is driving me nuts :(

Omaran 18 Posted September 20, 2012 (edited) I've checked again, I really can't see that I am missing anything :(I don't suppose somebody would like to upload the contents of their Battleye directory (obviously change the rcon password in beserver.cfg first)? Omaran 18 Posted September 20, 2012 Here's how my folder looks like: http://xam.nu/f/rcon1.pngCheck if you're missing something.I don't have a BEServer_active.cfg or a publicvariable.txt (I haven't added that one), other than that, it looks the sameBTW, shouldn't your file be publicvariable.txt - not publicvariable.txt.txt ? Omaran 18 Posted September 20, 2012 So is it a problem i don't have a BEServer_active.cfg ?
XAM 48 Posted September 20, 2012 So is it a problem i don't have a BEServer_active.cfg ?No. I don't know why I have one. I usually just delete it when no one is online since it requires a restart. It only creates it sometimes, and other times it's using the regular cfg.

XAM 48 Posted September 20, 2012 Does Battleye work in game? Like sending out messages and stuff. You should get a message saying your Battleye is up to date when connecting.

Omaran 18 Posted September 21, 2012 OK, I have gone over my files and config but still can't see what's wrong, I am more than happy to start again now, last time I copied my ARMA2 files to another folder, then copied Operation Arrowhead (chose 'yes' to replace files), uploaded to my server, added the DayZ files (all the ones fron the welcome email), and started with the command line specified).Am I doing something wrong?
