What I can do with my own server:

What I can not do with my own server since it's prohibited by Hive:

• kick to make room for clan member which pay for the server
  
• set password to play privately just with friends
  
• put server into locked mode (without password) for maintenance

I don't like your rules.. we're server admins not criminals!

That's my tool for everyone who thinks similar:

Specify a list of playernames for your whitelist - it will automatically kick all players with different names so you can play alone with your mates for an evening.

It works on Windows, and with mono also on Linux and Mac

Where to Download? Depends on how much you would pay - just to prevent people downloading and abusing that thing ;P

I don't understand the point of this thread. If you're running a private hive for your clan, why not just password lock it anyway?

If you are intending for this utility to be run on DayZ Public Hive servers, then this breaches the rules and permits your clan to farm all loot/have unraidable camp sites and then drop over to public hive servers and wreck havoc. This creates an unfair safe haven for your clan mates.

As Nik21 said, just make your own private hive and no one will care what you do with your own server. Running this app on a public hive server is grounds for blacklisting, though, and you've so conveniently provided the server name (DE 1026).

As of recently, they're now condoning the use of private hives, as well as I heard Matt Lightfoot saying the following to me:

Right now we're relaxing up on the server hosting rules, but we still reserve the right to remove access to any server hosters that are doing something that is damaging DayZ.

Otherwise, continue to play on Private Hives that accept players.

I would certainly consider creating server-wide safe havens for storing/duping/farming mass items at zero risk to then utilize on public hive servers a damaging effect. Wouldn't you? As you say, DE 1026's server admin should just setup a private hive.

I would hope, if DE 1026 does not remove this, that their server is blacklisted. I don't understand why they're not on a private hive in the first place if they want this. As you say, it's condoned and even preferred by Rocket now.
