DayZ suggestion #2 - Attachments

Recommended Posts

DayZ already has pre-determined attachments such as the G17 with its flashlight, or the M4a1 HOLO with its grenade launcher. But in my opinion, attachments should be a separate, player determined, feature all together.

Idea:

-Have all weapons be able to have one under barrel attachment and one sight attachment.

-Depending on the size of the attachment determines how much inventory space it takes up till equipped on gun.

-Also attachments should also be un-removeable after equipping to a gun, so that the player must think heavily on what attachments he DEFINATELY wants before he attaches.

-Allows for more personal player customization. Allows for players to customize their own gun suited to their playing style.

Different attachment ideas: (Based on type of attachment, it should either spawn in residential, country, or military areas)

(Military)

-Silencer

-Extended Mag

-HOLO scope

-12x rifle scope

-Rifle Laser

-MILITARY flashligh

-ACOG scope

This is already suggested for the Standalone, and it will be in the Standalone. Also it already developt in Arma 3 and will be in Dayz Standalone too.

ill quote Rocket:

2. Q: What are some improvements we might see when DayZ is ported to RV4 (Arma3) engine?

A: DayZ will run on a branched Take On helicopters (RV3) engine. It is already being customized to DayZ specific needs. The main improvement is an engine tailored to DayZ's specific needs. An example being weapons being objects on a character and not stored simply as a string reference, this means the object can have durability, enhancements, etc...

i think Arma 3 has things Like Laser Pointer different Scopes, flashlights and NV´S (can´t confirm could be more or less)
