Statistics on where people get ganked?

Recommended Posts

I would love to know where all this PVP is going on. I play quite often and can go days without seeing another person. I have a strong suspicion that most of the people who get killed all the time by bandits are either in or around big, populated areas with no cover. I would expect that the database/servers either do track or can track this. New players die alot, that is mostly because they dont understand the dangers of Cherno and Elektro. If I spawn and head to one of those two cities, I half expect to get ganked. I search lootable areas quickly and then heard north.

I would love to see a map that shows the concentration of these murders. It would help show us and the devs whether this really is a problem or just people who are new to the game or making bad decisions getting themselves killed.

Should be easy to figure out. Military loot places are highly camped zones. Novices usually die around big coastal cities.

Anyway, if you want to see people stay near/inside barracks. You'll make lots of friends.

If that is true, is PVP really a problem? Populated areas are going to be dangerous. People should intuitively understand this...

Cherno' date=' Elektro, NW Airfield.

Done.

If you decide to go to a highly populated area, you have to recognize that you are taking a higher risk by going there.

But still, I'd also be interested in a detailed map of where the PvP occurs.

Agreed, instead of endless conjecture, I want to know in a quantitative way where all the PVP occurs.

But still' date=' I'd also be interested in a detailed map of where the PvP occurs.

Based on my experience, if you get ganked over and over, you are doing it wrong. I want to know if I am correct. I head through Cherno and Elektro on almost every new life and I survive most of the time.

The last 6 deaths I had were by players who pretended top be friendly or just shot me straight away (more annoying that I had literally 1 or 2 minutes where i could have shot them first). Typing "friendly" did fuck all so right now, anyone gets close to me I'm shooting first.

In fact my last death came from NE airfield. I just found the coyote back pack (the 24 storage one) and a M4 CCO. Left the airfield covertly, thought I saw someone so went to ground for a few minutes. Then heard shooting fairly far away so took that as an opportunity to escape through the trees. I leg it, move from cover to cover, cross a road down a hill into an open field and fuck me if there wasn't someone on the otherside who shot me! 180 degrees to choose from and I chose the wrong one. Shit like that just pisses me off especially when i was being careful.

I seem to bump into people in the most remote of places rather than being in a big city.

That is just bad luck and I am sure everyone who has played for a while has a story similar to it.
