Stuck in the water :(

Got teleported into the air so logged out straight away as ive seen people logging in/ out managing to get back to the ground in safety..

Logged back in and was in the water, cant see where the land is.

Tried deleting dayz and reinstalling but im still in the sea.

Tried logging in / out to try get spawned at the coast but no luck :(

Any ideas on how to get back onto land?

Not bothered if i loose all my stuff.

yeah thats a pretty lame place to be, nothing much you can really do apart from keep swimming or dehydrate to death

I assume you can still starve in the sea?

yeah, but you will dehydrate a bit quicker

When the same thing happened to me, I abused the port-to-coast bug.

[1] Downgrade DayZ to 1.7.2.4

[2] Locate a 1.7.2.4 server (may be harder now since when I did this, 1.7.2.5 was out and some people refused to run it with the vehicle save bug)

[3] Login to said 1.7.2.4 server

[4] You'll instantly be ported to the coast

[5] Logout

[6] Return to DayZ 1.7.2.6 and enjoy

Note that doing this, for whatever reason, destroyed all items in my 'primary' inventory slots (my sidearm mags, tools, equipped weapons, backpack, backpack contents were untouched).

It's worth a try if you can find a 1.7.2.4 server.
