New Vilayer Server - Spawn At Beach No Gear - Help Needed

Hi Guys

Just purchased a Vilayer DayZ server, added our hostname according to the naming convention and fired it up.

Tried to logon and it asked for Male / Female spawned at beach with no gear.

Any ideas on what might be wrong.

This is my first server so I am a bit of a noob I am afraid.

Nothing is wrong unless you had a fully geared character before. When you spawn you spawn with nothing but a bandage, painkillers, flash light and coyote patrol pack....nothing else.

Sounds like your purchased a private hive server. That's most likely the reason you spawn as a new character.

I had full gear before and I can log onto other servers fine. Our new server asks for Male or Female and others servers I log onto do not ask this so I wanted to know if you have to notify DayZ staff when you setup a new server so it is added to the hive?

I thought we purchased a public server I will put a support ticket into Vilayer to confirm and switch if I have to.

Can you confirm if there is any authorisation process to be added to the DayZ Hive or is this done by Vilayer when you purchase the (correct lol) server?

I have the same issue. I have made sure its connected to public hive.

All Vilayer servers are private hive that's why they work they are not linked to the jacked up Dayz hive ..But your server is public
