win/fail moments from Dayz.

hey guys, I thought it would be nice to hear some of your stories from dayz, Such as WIn/Fail moments.

This is inspired from an epic fail from me and my friend not 20 minutes ago when we both failed to check ammo count before going into a fire fight.

We were in a nice little shop looking for gear and in casually a sniper with a ghilli walks in, we both open fire only for both guns to stop as we made a quick dash to hit reload, Only to be both be killed as the guy happily took his time to shoot us.

FAIL.

So what are your stories.

One I have previously shared on this forum.

Geared up to the teeth and carrying a mod 0 camo I found, I try exitting Balota's military camp through the gates. I open a gate and it opens towards me... Crushing me against the wall and throwing me hundreds of meters into the air. I die on impact with the ground. I respawn nearby and make my way back to my body. By the time I found it, another newspawn was looting it. Keep in mind I was a newer player at this point... I ask the survivor if I could have my stuff back and I explain my situation. His response? He sends a single round from my own gun through my face. Failure.

Best win is finding a group of 15 or so taking screenies for their clan on a near empty server, all of their vehicles in the pic, as well as a huey above. My companion shoots the players while I engage the vehicles. After less than 10 seconds, all of their vehicles were destroyed and the players themselves decimated. Within 5 minutes, their tent city flattened by our own UAZ. We were sent the screenies the dude took as the attack happened. Good times. Win.

Win: Was running towards Chern from Electro when I get word from a friend that there's a hacker on the server teleporting behind people and killing them. So I ran to the top of the hill west of Electro the one with the atv spawn and stood right in the middle of the steep incline on that mountain so that if I moved a single inch in any direction I would slide down the mountain and break my legs. Lo and behold thirty seconds later I hear a noise behind me and then turn around to see one dumbass hacker sliding down the mountain and break his legs at the bottom. I didn't get the chance to shoot him to death as I was laughing so hard while he was swearing at me like there was no tomorrow, he then nuked the server two minutes later after bleeding out.

Fail: I found a bike once. Was enjoying myself gathering all the zombies I could and had a massive train of about 75 following me at one point. Then I saw that a prone zombie had spawned so I did what I thought was logical at the time and tried to splatter him with my pedal bike. Only when I hit him it did not kill him, I bunny hopped several feet into the air, fractured my legs and my bike fell over :emptycan:.

Finding an camp filled with high end gear and ammo me and a buddy got so excited about finding AS50 we just hung around the camp for way too long and got killed by a hacker. Epic fail with a 30 day old character.

I tried to return to the camp a few days later and as I was 2 clicks away a aircraft carrier was suspended in the sky like a Death Star.. I promptly left the server.
