Occupying Villages (half an idea)

Just had a thought, if a group of survivors could clear out every single zombie in a town, you could reward them by making no zombies spawn there for a certain amount of time (something like 6 hours?) this might give people some incentive to work together clearing out villages. With the infected hitting harder in the next patch I'm assuming it would be very difficult for someone to do this solo.

After thinking that I then thought "Why would we want to empty a town, the wilderness is empty, can do the same shit there.", so maybe you guys have some ideas of what could be done with a "secured" village?
