Will this PC run DayZ?

Recommended Posts

Ok so I'm desperate to play DayZ but unfortunately I must be patient due to my computer lacking the specs to be able to play it. I mean, I've downloaded the free Arma2 demo and it doesn't run that on lower graphics anywhere near as smooth as what I've seen in videos. (Which is what I'd like; smoothness and prettyness.)

Here is the link to the computer rig I will be getting and I am asking you lot if it will be able to run DayZ with high graphics etc?

In theory: it should run fine.

In practice: DayZ mod is so unreliable in terms of performance... People with beast rigs are getting terribad FPS and people with outdated rigs are playing just fine (not all the time, but this is the general idea I'm getting tbh).

Conclusion: buy this PC, but not to play this game. It'll be fine in running any other new game though.

P.S.:

May I suggest getting a slightly beefier PSU, 750W-ish, 'cause if you ever decide to add a second GPU you'll need it.

Ahh right thank you for your advice. Not the first time I've been recommended to get a different GPU. Are there any you would suggest that arn't a massive increase in price?

thanks
