The Game you Just Bought (For people new to Arma 2)

Hello first I would like to say this post is not a "Your a N008" Thread. Its more so a "What you should do first in arma 2 even before you join a DayZ server." So what I want you to do is if you bought this game for a mod be ready to get butt hurt A LOT. Arma 2 is not COD or BF in anyway other then a shooter if you try to play arma like those two you will get butt hurt A LOT. Ok so now you have Arma 2 and the DayZ mod oh and your so happy and ready to play and join that server but dont you dont know how to even play Arma. So go to single player and learn how to play spend your first day of playing arma getting use to it. So when you get use to every thing now you are ready to kill zombies also note you will be pvped a lot like A LOT A LOT lol so dont get to BUTTHURT other then that if you need help just message me and I will help you learn Arma (Not DayZ you learn that on your own fast)

I never bothered playing Arma II single player. SPOILER ALERT: I DIED A LOT.

So yeah, if that sort of thing sounds frustrating to you, listen to the OP's advice.

Also, don't give up. Persistence is rewarded in this game.

true, i did this, i jumped in died.. a lot, surprisingly as oppose to some other games the boot camp in Arma 2 goes into quite some detail, i also play about in the showcase scenarios it helps get used to the weapons and vehicles. nothing would suck more then repairing a helicopter to crash it after take off

I tried playing Arma 2 single player.

The AI is funny. My teammates prone, crouch, prone, crouch, run 2 meters, prone, crouch, run 2 meters, crouche, prone etc...

Or they just stand there, doing nothing, with the objective 10 meters from them.

Or they tell me to get in a car, drive to a point, which I do, and then nothing happens.

Thank god for multiplayer!
