items disappearing between inventory and Backpack?

out the blue items have started disappearing when trying to move between inventory (on the right) to my Backpack and items in my backpack seem to vanish at random intervals??????

WHERE ARE MY BEANS GOING!!!!!!!?????

Do you have enough slots in the backpack for the items? Most things take one slot, primary weapons take ten, and side arms take five.
