Character Switch

Hello everybody,

I'm not quite new to DayZ, but I still got a little question about player characters.

Okay, so when you start Dayz you create a character and I'm still playing with that character but I also want to do some fooling around with a character which doesn't have such high gear. So my question is : Can I create a new character and play with that character and later switch back to my old character and nothing is changed?

You can't make a new character. Even if you make a new character in the Player Profile menu, it'll have all the gear. The only way to get rid of your gear is getting a new CD-key, dying, or storing your good somewhere.

Look for private hive servers, they are called DayZ Sanctuary. You will be able to play a completely different character, and when you switch back to an official server your old character will be back.

I quit playing public quite some time ago due to the many issues that are caused by hackers / hacked in weapons / Vehicles not saving / tents not saving aswell as many other things. They have 2 servers, one is day when the other is night. Got some awesome admins on there too. Got the debug plains glitch today and the admins replaced all my items and put me back where I was.
