Vehicle disappearance after connection drop out.

So just recently I was driving an ATV when my connection experienced a momentary dropout. After I got back in the ATV was gone, I originally checked up to ~500 meters ahead to see if it had continued forward only to find a wall where it should have stopped, I then proceeded to check where I last saved it, still no joy. Any ideas?

Ok, so it self destructs and respawn 7 days later? Or is it totally irrecoverable?
