How to find bear traps?

Does anyone have any idea of where I could find bear traps where my chances would be increased of finding a bear trap or would the only way would be sheer luck? i really don't care if they are buggy/don't work I just want to have them and actually use them, the one time i found them i ended up getting sniped by someone three seconds later, any specific towns or anything?

Barns, long and short but i tend to find them in far out ones as opposed to village or town ones, you know the ones on the outskirts of in the middle of nowhere.

And on that point I found bear traps to be useless anyways what you using them for? base protection?
