Being the victim of a hacker...

Recommended Posts

Is probably one of the shittiest feelings ever. Especially when you have had your character for a long time. Yesterday was the first time I've ever died from a hacker. There was a mass killing on Dallas 34, but after recollecting myself and controlling my frustration, I did manage to get lucky and regain about 90% of my stuff back due to pure luck. Fucking awesome!

The next day...

I woke up feeling great. Went on to look at the forums, in hopes of new progression on the 1.7.1 update. I was later in the mood to play, I had some stuff that needed to be done on my survivor after that mass-killing. I had this really funny feeling as I was loading up Arma 2, a feeling that something was going to go wrong and that I should just wait and play at a later time. I disregard that and I log in. Game loads up, take about 15 steps, and everyone on the server blows up.

Very strange, and at the same time very frustrating. Hopefully one day, DayZ will be a somewhat hacker-free mod.

Just thought I'd share.

It feels shittier when you get killed by someone who is invisible because of de-sync, covering eachother's movements can't help you if you get point blanked by someone you can't even see.

loosing your stuff because of hacking is one reason to ask for a reset.

but unfortunately, it seems they can't do that anymore due to the mass amount of requests they get.

i have yet to see a hacker in dayz, maybe i am just that lucky? this, or EU servers must be hacking-free save heavens.
