Stuttering every 30 seconds

I've been getting this a lot, recently, and it seems to be getting worse with each subsequent release.

My OS is Vista64 (which I think might cause some problems with Arma2?) and my card is an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260M.

The stutter last week used to be about half a second every minute or so, but now it's up to clusters of 2 second freezes every 30 to 45 seconds. It's making the game quite impossible to play.

Ah, found the fix, deceptively simple.

For those still having trouble: it's just a question of turning of SixUpdater while running the game.
