Need help, patch problem

Okay, so i have been trying to play this game for 6 hours, i have run into so many problems on the way, i have solved the most on my own, but this problem i cannot find the solution to anywhere.

When i start the game and get to the server list, every game uses the patch 1.7 (93701).

I have used the same patch (93701) except, when i join a game i can successfully get in to the game and run around for about 5 seconds, untill it says i am using the wrong verision (1.6.0.1) i think it is, but i have only downloaded one patch (93701).

Please i really need some help with this.

What do i do?

Did i install the patchnote wrong or what?

Please help, thank you in advance.

There's a separate shortcut for launching the beta patch of the game in the BIS folder, if I recall correctly.

The first number eg "1.7" is the DayZ version, second number "93701" is the Arma2 beta patch.

Sounds to me like you're still running DayZ version 1.6, if so you should download version 1.7.
