Can You Use Skype For DayZ?

Hey I am wondering if you can use skype for DayZ.

Many people use teamspeak3 and other things, I never heard of them using Skype...

So will DayZ work with skype?

skype works with anything same as teamspeak its just a voice program that works in the background.

yes, but to your skype buddy(ies), they'll hear you double, and often with a small delay. so it is not advised to use both at the same time unless you need to yell friendly or quickly communicate something of similar nature to someone else outside of skype.

I mean it's not something important that must not be crossed. it's just annoying.

Skype works different as teamspeak.

Skype is like a social network: you have to add friends to be able to call them and chat with them, it's more 1 on 1 calls (also group)

Teamspeak is used by clans/server hosts to comunicate because you don't have to add people to be able to talk to them, servers use this sometimes to let the people playing on their server comunicate. even though not everyone on the server is actually on the teamspeak.

If you meet a player in DayZ, you will have to start comunicating through the direct communication ingame. you can ofcourse add eachother on skype and arrange a call over there.
