There's the link for a DayZ tournament taking place tomorrow, and yet they still need players to sign up and join in! I'm currently a part of the 32 playing, and I'm here to get the word out and make competition good :)

so you lock it down with a password, with a potential group of hackers inside? Without a player screening process (which I can't imagine how one would do) how would this ensure security?

I like this Hunger Games-inspired idea. Think it could be a great event for everyone taking part.

As for paranoid security questions:

Description states you spawn fresh on a private, password locked server so it's not the end of your life if you don't survive long. It also states that there's two people shoutcasting it live. Should a script kid occur, he'll be gone within seconds. An event like this can't be done any safer than what they're doing.

So they have had 115 applicants for the tournament. They are now filled, and working out the final kinks to the map.
