GB #500 UAZ Theft

Recommended Posts

To whoever owned the UAZ that was stolen on Sept 5.

While I was trecking through the woods I saw a tent off in the distance and moved in to investigate. While initially dissapointed that the tent was more or less empty I saw the spare tire of your truck sticking out of a nearby bush. Crawling, literally crawling, I was so afraid of getting sniped now that I had found a vehicle, I made my way to it and hopped in. After starting it up and driving way off into the middle of nowhere I stashed it, hand shaking and my heart pounding in my throat all the way. This was definitely one heck of a birthday present for me.

The next day I updated and logged on, to find that in stead of a UAZ I was the proud owner of a small boat, several kilometers inland. After the initial bafflement had subsided I doubled over with laughter. Fortunately I nabbed the extra water bottle and food from the truck before disconnecting and I trecked back to civilization.

On occasion I go back out there to check up on it, to this day the boat is still up there on the mountaintop looking like a misplaced toy.

Thank you, whoever you were, on deciding to put up a tent in the open right next to your vehicle hiding spot. Thank you for the good times.

lol yah. When I try to explain to people who don't play this game, how something as simple as this can give you a heart attack...they think I am retarded.

The experience is just like you really are making off with someone's car. You may get away, or perhapse they are just coming back or you accidentally run into some random stranger who takes a pot-shot at you. You never know and it's in the back of your mind all the way.
