@rocket ; standalone, test before buying?

Since everyone knows that the standalone is coming out soon; was wondering if there would be a test demo before buying similar to how minecraft had it?

I had a couple of friends buy arma 2, that could obviously could run arma 2 but when running dayz (lag issues/fps) couldn't play it. So i was wondering if there was going to be like a test demo for people to test before buying/downloading it? Obviously you can't copy minecraft in this way with it running in the browser for a test demo, but just wondering if the game would be more optimized to solve this issue in the standalone and if there'd be a way to test it before buying it?

And yes i can understand that pc recommended requirements could solve this, but i guess the demo could also show people if they like the game or not too. (short 2 minute connection demo or something similar)

I would love for them to stick to the idea of a minecraft style release. REALLY CHEAP in alpha/beta then full price at release. I want that. If we don't get that (mainly because thats what rocket said he wants to do and i am already tired of him not sticking to his words) I won't be buying it for a while... if ever.
