It will mostly come back after the next server restart.

Last build we were having problems with the gear vanishing, but if you've had the tents as long as you said, then if anything they will just keep duping gear every second restart.

Dunno if that's all servers, or just ours though..

I haven't played in Chernarus for awhile because I can't use tents properly and I'm all kitted out with legit stuff.

I'm on vacation in Lingor atm.. ;)

How have I duped? I got the gear totally legit from raiding other people and pvp. Hell, I walked onto a 30/40 server fresh spawn and found 2 dead guys with full kits in 10 minutes.

But, seeing as the mod is dead, standalone is out soon and i get hacked within 20 minutes of joining a server over 20 people i'm all for duping.

There's no need to cheat and no sense in trying to justify it no matter what.

Besides, it's easy to find high-tier stuff, as you mentioned, just loot it from people who *did* dupe it. ;)

I LOVED dayz when finding a basic m4 or winchester was awesome. honestly. i'm a loot addict so i wish nvgs were as rare as the 0.whatever % spawn chance. but every other dude is fully kitted illegitimately, ignoring the fact you lose everything nearly everyday anyway if you join a high pop server so why not? can't wait for the standalone.

can you really justify spending hours on foot hitting the NWAF, Stary, Balota and looking for heli crashes to lose it all in a second some basement dweller or 16 yr old script kid decides to insta kill the whole server? contrary to popular belief we do all have lives and i dont enjoy wasting it dying in the middle of nowhere to a hack..

Edit: your logic makes no sense, if you can get fully kitted that fast why hack or dupe in the first place? Just get a player kill and move on. Also set up two campsites if you are going to post an epic whine about losing a single tent.

I wasn't acting superior I was bored and too lazy to type a full response so I simplified it. But if someone says they're gonna leave do you beg them to say or say bye?

No, 6 tents. All the FAL's were in Alice Packs I legit spent hours running/driving back and forwards when a supermarket spawned like 8 in as they do. I had them in a ATV. Dead excited too as I play 95% solo and also share bits and pieces when people need it. Helping people with meds too. Actually gave new, fresh players to the game basic kit and would often meet players spawned on the coast to give out old AKM's, AK'S, maps and such I couldn't fit in the tent.

I don't dupe. I never said I ever did so quote where I said I had in my original post? however I did say now I'm all for it. If I get gunned down - fine. If my tents get robbed...fine. If I die or lose gear in such a way that is a legit gameplay mechanic, fine. No problems. But when it comes to wasting my time running back + forwards, shuffling gear around for days on end, walking miles up north to find helis to lose it all or getting insta-killed before I had a camp - no. Just no. That gear IS mine. If I dupe 5 FN FALS I'd have a clear conscience. I earnt them despite the fact I have to resort to bitch moves to get them back. Kinda shows peoples integrity that you're prepared to waste your life and lose stuff via hacking and just shrug about it then condemn anyone who's driven to abusing a mechanic. I'm not hacking. If I kill you with a FAL I had to dupe when I lost my own is it wrong? If a dude spent days on a camp, lost his shit, and duped it back and killed me it's not like he didn't earn it. If hacking/glitches didn't exist in game he'd have had the weapon anyway. Can't think of a analogy.

Also I should have elaborated. I had 6 tents spread over 2000m. All lasted 3 weeks - server was low/med pop and they were hidden really well. Which again was hours spent running uphill, thought forests, back and forwards arranging everything. Hence my anger. And sure - I can get a PK and gear up but without a camp to fall back on I'm screwed. And I thought people exaggerated the hacking since I stuck to low pop servers at first. Soon as I hit 20 > servers I got hacked once a hour hence why I relied on my camp. After I lost my camps I PK'd a ghillie and got nearly everything - within the hour a 40 man server got insta killed one by one.

Pick your lip up and just get out.

And a general note - the excess of ghillies came from 2 nights raiding the west side of the map. Hell I found 6 ghillies in one tent. So don't accuse me of duping.

Do the search - upon server restart there might be glitch and tents & vehicles etc aren't loaded from HIVE... just wait for another server restart....

Dude, I'm 24 haha. I haven't so much as seen my parents in 6 years, qq, so I'm deeply sorry if I came across as a pre-pubesant. Thing is, at the time I was furious as it was my only defence against the non stop hacker onslaught - at least I had some gear to fall back on, especially as I play solo 90% of the time. I'm struggling to think of a analogy to explain but it's easy to see why somebody may be pissed at what happened. If you have any empathy and perspective, you'd understand why I raged. It's like would you keep picking up a single player game, a RPG perhaps, that just kept knocking you back to the start? See, I suck at analogies.

I had spent hours gametime creating that camp, and it's all that kept me playing as I couldn't be bothered to keep re-looting with the sheer amount of hackers. If you have a life, you'd understand. I work hard during the day, and use day-z too chill on. Not spend 90% of my time running back to my dead body as yet again im insta-killed or a dude teleports 20m in front of me. I'm totally okay with being outplayed and killed legit, just to add.

And my bad, they had re-spawned when I joined a couple weeks later. All the stuff in the bags had gone however.

Well from your answer you seem pretty sound actually, my response wasn't an attack so much as an observation and damn if you'd have seen me this morning when the physical machine my server is hosted on went tits up you'd know I totally get the rage thing, like I said it don't work bringing it on here though ;)

If you want a reasonably decent server to play on with a sound group of lads on it, PM me and I'll let you have the details of our server.

PS Bags will empty on every restart if stored in a tent, shitty I know but you learn to live with it or come on here and moan about it ;)

Same, I'm doing a finance diploma then my AAT accounting qualification. And I hate 9 to 5 work haha - so once I get home I just wanna chill. Not rage at hackers, then rage at my old defence against hackers, back up gear, completely disappearing! was the icing on the fat dayz rage...cake. i came on here cuz i was sure I read they return on a reset, but wanted some clarity in between my rages.

i'm from uk too - newcastle. my family are all down south though. i had a mic till i stood on my headset, so i'm using seinnheisers. ordered a zalman clip on mic but it never came - waiting on amazon. my new mouse came, with the mic on the same delivery note, but nothing.

in game im in kamenka - fully geared. m4 cco sd, m9sd, and as50 in my coyote. stocked with ammo, hit another tent camp on the outskirts of the map along the west. have around 15 camps marked on different servers - ms paint colour coded too haha. nerd. looking for people to play with - the two dudes i met are rarely on. one has a bad alt f4 habit everytime someone shoots within a 300m radius and the other is a bit immature and can't aim. i'm not insanely good, but i'm good enough and played since june. i like to record too... have a few great fraps'd clips =)

To the Op, i enjoy nice gear as well. However given the list you have given, it sounds like you have been duping :huh:
