Can we make an official list for Alt+f4ing wussies?

Recommended Posts

Sounds like someones got a case of the alt+f4s.

Another one bites the dust and alts+f4 to try and save his m4a1. His other friend wasn't such a pansy though. His name was Mak_nekit_dndz on de116. He died on top of the fire house building near the church in elktro twice. Once from my friend, and once from me after he tried to reloot his body when he ran back. His friend tried to come into the church to kill me and I shot him dead with my m14. Blood and all, but no death msg. So, mak...Tell your friend to man up. Ty for not alt+f4ing.

Back to my point. We need to make a sticky list of people who like to alt+f4. Am I serious? No, not really, but it sounds fun. And I am really bored and tired of reading the same threads over and over again...LET'S DO IT!

How can I then change my in-game name? I just edit my name in the account, Player Profile.

You have to make a new profile first. You can't edit your first one.

Aside from the topic at hand I have a story about an Alt+F4 guy. I was at NWAF with a friend in the middle of the night. Luckily, we both had NVGs. I had a M4A3 CCO. We came up to the northern barracks. I look inside and see a guy named SNiPeR~~~ something with a lot of fancy little characters wearing a ghillie. I didn't ask questions. I fired off about half a mag into him. Guy went down. He Alt+F4ed into another server and died.

But yeah you won't be able to make a list because they can easily change their in-game names.

Alt-f4 is part of the game, just like script kiddies and duping. Deal with it. You want to prevent it? Aim for the head next time.

Also Pygmyjess. Do you give mustache rides?

I opened fire on a bandit named Ajvkorn yesterday and he Alt+F4'd to escape the wrath of my Makarov.

Was actually hoping to make a direct deposit.. Not in the form of beans...

back on topic.

People can claim to not Alt-f4 and get all up in a fuss over people doing it, but lets be realistic. Everyone does it or has done it. I myself and many of my clan members have said we would never do it, but I have done it a few time and usually end up dying shortly after relogging to another server.

I've never done it while in legit combat, but I do it all the time when I suspect hacking is going on. Hell, one of my clan mates Alt+F4ed on us the other day because it was two against one. Still gave him hell for it especially since we're on a private server. I was tempted to just camp the scene of the crime.

I'd bear trap the exact spot that he logged off on.. If being knocked out and bleeding doesnt kill him the trap will!

Lol worse troll ever considering I wasn't on at all yesterday. :)

And Alt+f4 is not part of the game. When you have an m14 and put two bullets into somebody, they can still alt+f4 even if you kill them. I saw him go down, blood spurt out, then his body went into the ground. Headshot or not, if you alt+f4, it happens..Learn your shit.

I stopped alt+f4ing awhile ago and just accept my deaths. Although most of my deaths are from hackers who teleport to me, I rarely will die anyways. I won't say I am the greatest player of all time, but I still am cautious enough to not even get shot at.

That list is going to be insanely long. I don't love to admit this on the forums but I logged a few times as a newb and I suspect many on here have done it once or twice themselves. Some people even try to make up phantom hackers, I only logged cause some guy teleported. You ask did you see them suddenly appear and they will say no but then follow with "I had checked around and suddenly there was shooting. "

Don't get me wrong logging is a sissy move and I am aware those three logs in my first two weeks were cheap, but I also don't let it bother me too much when it happens.

Not this callsign.

I have never, nor will I ever, use alt F4 to avoid legit combat or a resultant death. Note I say legit combat. Being teleported somewhere by a script kiddie is another matter. Fucked if I'm being their dancing monkey.

I've had escapes from shitty situations that used cunning, guile and, let's be honest, sheer luck. I've escaped knowing that I bested that player. I've also died horrible bullet ridden deaths too, but the point is that the experience that DayZ provides isn't matched by any other game in that way.

I'd find it disappointing that in the even the OP admits to have been a serial combat logger. And you started the fucking thread bemoaning the players who do it! Fuck my old boots, some of the double standards around here never cease to amaze me!

If you feel the need to alt F4 to avoid a death or protect your fucking precious gear then maybe, just maybe, you should ask yourself why you are playing DayZ, or more appropriately ask yourself 'how' am I playing DayZ. Either way, grow a gaming spine and some moral courage and accept the consequences of the situations you put yourself in. Trust me, the game will reward you with some great experiences and fun.

Ben_C if you are being honest then bravo, I commend that level of playing by the rules. I now take the death instead of being cheap, bit I still get that urge from time to time but I fight it. Playing legit feels better and I do it for myself not the guy who is trying to murder me. The reason I never rage is due to having done it myself, bit I am also surprised that it is not more widespread. I let a guy live two fays ago on lingor for not logging, I had him pinned in a corner and he had no idea where I was. I was waiting and after a couple of minutes asked on side chat if they logged and he stuck an arm out to show he didn't. I gave him props and walked away.

Best advice to people is don't let it slide with friends on the game, at least call them out for being cheap that is what made me change.
