DayZ Voice Sound

Thinking about making some youtube videos but im having an issue with the sound on DayZ. When someone talks whether it be in side, direct, team etc.. its just extremely quite. When i watch videos on YouTube or even ask some friends they don't seem to have this problem. I want to make it louder if possible, any help would be appreciated.

Yes.. first thing i checked. I pretty much play on the lowest sound setting with voice maxed just so i can hear.

Make sure your sound settings are up, and check out the VON/VOD bar. Can't remember if it's VON or VOD. Make sure that's up.

No. I have spoken to these people in TeamSpeak and Skype, the sound is perfect and they are far from quiet.

If everything is turned up, it could be an I/O routing issue. Depends completely on your software and hardware setup, so if you have configurable In's and Out's, double check those.
